i wasn't thinking like that citu. i was thinking more about immigration. wealthy immigrants (ones that r expensively educated) are generally accepted, whereas poorer immigrants are generally unwelcome.
yet poor immigrants make valuable contributions to our economies too. for example as fruit pickers.
I was being sarcastic John. You know sometimes economist and political scientist (anthropologist too) drive me mad. Poor immigrants: we loathe them and love them...
