For professional blogs I prefer those who have the photos of the author, sort of like a feature articles you see in magazines, where the author's photo is done in black and white, holding a serious expression while touching his/her chin with the forefinger and the thumb.

I think it really depends on what type of blogs it is - if it's personal opinion, it's the choice of the author to remain anon/not.
If it's more public, there has to be photos and real names in the About page.
