Interestingly enough Patung over at IM visited the synagogue just yesterday and he said that it looked to be not sealed after all. He has some pictures on his blog.
Its a mystery to me. The report in the JP was very convincing but the event occured 3 days before Patung arrived there.
Nothing new, nothing new! Although i haven't read Indonesian newspapers, i am convinced that political scientists will see this as a good source for articles...at least their articles can polish their credential.
How long will Islam be a focus in Indonesian politics?
how long will islam be a focus of indonesian politics?
maybe religion will always be the focus of any politics as long as ppl stil think that it's the religion doers that shud be judged, not the religion's idealism itself :p

that's a great question. I think things ebb and flow.
we're going thru an upsurge in religion politics, sometime that will subside. just like here in the US...
